Our first-floor office space has served for several years as the Logan County Art Center, providing a home for the Logan County Art League, LoCo Art, and Windmill Productions. In recent years these organizations have grown, as has demand for the youth services they provide. One thing that has become clear is the need for additional space. A renovation of our upstairs, which has been vacant for 30 years, will fill a large community need.
LoCo Art provides an incredible range of free art therapy and programs to our youth. This organization will be able to gain both workshop and storage space, plus benefit from new classrooms. As parents of Windmill Productions performers can attest, space in these productions is limited and many interested children have to miss out. New rehearsal and classroom spaces will provide options for additional programs, classes, and a central practice location. Along with the Art League’s planned gallery renovation on the first floor, the Logan County Art Center will be a jewel serving the community of Logan County unlike anything available in the surrounding area.
